As educators it is important that we are able to connect with one another for support. We are expected to be resourceful in gathering information to support or enhance our classroom environment. Technology is a vital tool for information at your finger tips and offers a great way to network without the stress of commuting to and from various schools, workshops, or conferences to gain valuable resources. While researching teacher websites for instructional strategies, support on designing learning environments, and engaging students in developmentally appropriate lesson I came across several that offer great information.

Hi Kimela,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed visiting your blog and liked how you tied in the benefits of exploring teacher websites and resources online as opposed to going to a workshop. Sure those are great and some are hands on, but surfing the web allows you to explore sites from teachers all over the world. I personally liked visiting Sharon Macdonald's website because she shared a lot of musical resources. I am the type of teacher who values on using music as a teaching tool because children can relate to music. She offered musical selections that I never heard before, and I think I will use her resources when I'm looking for new music for my classroom. Great Job!

Hi Kimela
ReplyDeleteGreat blog you have set up here. Your sources that you have chosen are wonderful resources, especially for a new teacher in the field. To have visual and print examples of materials such as room set up, classroom rules and schedules are wonderful to have. In this age of tech savvy teachers, it is also user friendly to know which teachers are accessible from other social media sites for when we would like to see the images perhaps during our lunch breaks when reading an entire blog posts may not be compatible with our time. Great information you have here. Thank you for sharing.
